Selling Your Business Is A Big Deal.

We Can Help.

Why Spectra?

In 2004, Spectra Advisors was founded because the principals believed that the lower and middle market clients were far too often under-served. The typical Spectra client does not have the scale to attract Wall Street firms, a reality which creates a clear need for companies and their shareholders to have a viable alternative, one that can leverage a wealth of industry and transactional experience. Spectra clients are Spectra’s only priority. We align our interest with those of our clients to create and grow long-term relationships.

Spectra’s partners draw upon over 35 years of experience both as operators and advisors in the education sector. During their respective careers, they have completed and been involved in over 45 transactions with an aggregate transaction value of more than $235 million dollars.

Our Approach

As Spectra Advisors continues to build a distinguished organization, the partners seek to exemplify excellence in every facet of our business. The pillars of our corporate culture are the highest standards of discretion as well as both personal and professional integrity and accountability.

Our approach to a transaction is built around the personal involvement of the partners in every aspect of the process from start to close. Our expertise in the education industry enables us to actively interface on a regular basis with a large universe of potential acquirers and investors. This concentration allows us to gauge how the market will respond to a particular asset. If shareholders’ liquidity expectations are incongruent with what the market will bear, Spectra will advise our clients about how to create additional value to achieve their financial goals. Believing that honesty and communication throughout the advisory process is paramount, we will not accept an assignment unless we have a high degree of confidence that the market will respond favorably to an asset.

Spectra takes a success-based approach to engagements and does not require large retainers to secure our services. We are confident in our ability to execute transactions and in that way earn our fees.
